My best friend charged me beer for the job....My girlfriend charged me a lot more than that for the sanding... About $400.00 in paint...The trailer looks great and is practically bulletproof...

Yes its going to be bulletproof but it going to have more drag then if it was painted with normal paint......

That really looks nice. That's the second trailer I've seen pictures of that used the Durabak. The other was Brady's and Jenny's Red Boler. Total Boler Restoration. Looks like the ticket! banana.gif

Looks great! I did this on my last coach.

it will have more drag.... will it be heavier?

It does look great though!

David When I saw the topic heading "trailer painted with truck bed paint" I thought that is not going to produce a very attractive result but the photos prove just how wrong I was; that is one really good looking trailer. Congrats for having the vision to do something way different and give the rest of us an education as to how "marching to a different drumer" can sometimes produce awesome results ! Lee

David, I was like Lee and thought "Oh no!" when I saw the topic. But, it looks beautiful! 94.gif

Now I'm wondering if anybody has any thoughts of using this on the interior walls, too-- perhaps if someone ripped out the wall carpeting this would be an easy replacement. I just checked, and it can be painted on with a roller. It seems like it would be somewhat insulating and easy to clean. Hmmm.... confuse.gif

Ruth, if you are considering it, just make certain it is also designed for INTERIOR use. Some chemicals will can continue to outgas for years, making the trailer totally uninhabitable. Of all the spray coatings I've heard about, the only one I've seen that is usable for interior is LizardSkin. There may be others though, but it would take investigation.

Will it float!!!

Drag? Just maybe it will tow faster because it has golfball dimples and actually push the tow vehicle and increase youe MPG exactly.gif

Do you have to coat the truck bed stuff with a UV Protector?
