I have just put in the last plywood floor piece and fiberglassed it in this morning, waiting for it to cure. Nest step is lifting shell of to take to the welders. My question is in tearing up the old plywood; I noticed that they glued it in. I remember reading on this site about a foam material being used between the floor and frame, but I can't find it. What have others used, glue or this foam?

I was surprised that bolers have 4 bolts securing the floor, I had to take out over 20 screws to get the plywood out of my scamp. I also found out that I don’t like fiberglassing. This is my first time and I read a bunch of material on how to it before I started, but it is a sticky, goey mess to work with. Maybe it will grow on me. I'll have more question when I start fiberglassing a wall on how you keep the resin from running down to the bottom of the patch.

Since no one has answered . . . I can't say I know for sure, but I imagine it's a high-density closed-cell foam like Aerolite. That's what I'd probably use, but if you want to be absolutely sure give Scamp a call and ask them.

I just replaced the plywood under the cabinet in a 13 scamp. There was no foam under the wood but there was some type of hardned white sealer on top of the frame rail. I suspect it is to keep water from entering the center floor pan area. I plan on resealing the wood to the frame rail with PL adhesive sealant prior to screwing down the wood to the frame.
Bondo makes a fiberglass gel resin for vertical applications. I haven't used it but might try some sealing the underside of the wood to the shell.
You are absoutely correct fiberglass will grow on you, the more you get on you the thicker it grows. Make sure you use disposable gloves, Harbor Freight is a cheap source for gloves when on sale.
