Weinel, Alan
Well, for those of us where the joint runs HORIZONTAL, it is the "belly band"

Hi Judith,

You can get that from Trimlok. Just know that it comes in different widths and depths, so you'll want to measure yours before ordering. You can get black, white, etc.

You can find it here:

Bud try here,

mszabo,

That looks like the same stuff, but Scamp only stocks it in one width/depth (at least as shown in your link).

The Trimlok page has a number of different widths and depths, and shows how to measure it. (That said, they only sell really long rolls; but with a part number one could probably source it from a retailer; Trimlok is the manufacturer.)

What I don't know is whether Scamp's piece is the correct size; 3/8" inside width sounds like it may be a bit more than optimal for a U-haul seam. Of course it would be handy if it did just happen to be the correct size.

I'll measure mine tomorrow.
mszabo
The large white will fit mine, Will replace in the spring.

You can order TrimLoc direct from the company, but you will have to buy 250 feet worth at $350.

However, J.C. Whitney sells three sizes in 20 foot rolls for $23, just enough to do my Uhaul. 94.gif

goodposting.gif Do you have a part number to share? Or some other identifiable piece of information to use on the JC Whitney site?
DonDeutsch
I am lost, and I think this is information I could use. Is this a split thread? How did we get to odering trimloc?
Donna D.
Don't think the topic was split, I think Judith Kennedy started a new topic. I'll merge the two together 53.gif

let me try to give you a link http://www.jcwhitney.com/jcwhitney/categor...customuniversal

If that doesn't work, go to JCWhitney.com, on the home page select truck/suv, then exterior stuff. When one gets to that page, select weatherstripping. This will lead you to "Trim & Universal Weatherstripping" several versions of trimlock is there. I know this is a roundabout way to get there, but using their Search mode din't get me there. Hope this helps. Larry

thanks everyone.

Don,

Our local marine/boat stores stock this stuff in 20 and 50-foot rolls - in at least three widths. Think I paid less than $30 for a 20-foot roll.

WHEN YOU GET TO THE WHITNEY SITE, JUST SEARCH FOR "EDGE".
