I saw this at Big Lots, of all places.

It spoke to me.

I bought it.

I put it up.

I like it.

So there you have it.... a howling coyote and a bird and a cactus. Very green
Chester Taje
I like that.
Lizbeth
String some lights between it and the red shelf and you don't need a tree.

Hi Gina! Aha ... the desert has begun to cast its spell on ya, eh? winky.gif Looks really neat - wish we had a large, white wall for similar decorating. Take care, L 'n D

Looks to me like it was built for that exact spot....

Dave and Leslie,

That's what I was thinking.

Also, couldn't you use the closet wall just inside the entry door, that would be to the left??

But Joy, they have a 13-er. You know that space is already being utilized, somehow roflol.gif
Joy A
I sure do know that.

In fact, that space in my 13 footer is taken by things I want stored and sort of out of sight behind the screen door.

Just a thought if they are not using that space.

Looks great! 94.gif Nice find for sure smil.gif

Hey, if it is 7.gif appealing, then it IS functional
H. David & Leslie de Beaux
Ah-ha, Joy! THAT is ONE space we HAVEN'T filled up yet ... thanx for the suggestion! winky.gif (Note - the sound you just heard was Dave fainting at the idea of bringing yet another 'something new' into the Egg) Take care, L 'n D

Better yet, mount some LED's behind it and make IT light up. 94.gif

Gina, I love it your very creative. Wish I had such a good eye for decorations.
Anne Badgley
That is so inline with my decorating themes...cactus wrens and howling things. What method do you used to affix things (like the shelf and the decoration) to the wall? I want to use the space on each side of my closet for shelves etc., but I am hesitating over the best way to fasten.
Gina D.
Anne, both of the little shelves are mounted with "Hi-Lo" screws. They work great in fiberglass. The wood one is on small angle brackets, the red one has slots in the back.

The Coyote is a hollow steel sculpture thingy, no good way to screw it in, so I used industrial strength Velcro. It traveled for 8 hours yesterday and didn't budge.

I like it!

I looked up Hi-Lo screws. Interesting! I can see how they would grip well in thicker materials, but the fiberglass on my closet is quite thin. Did you put some kind of backing behind the shelves or just screw straight into the FG?

I am really wanting a wall sculpture like that. I might have to haunt some Big Lots...
Gina D.
no backing of any kind, no. For lightweight items, it works fine. Nothing heavy goes on the shelf. Its just were I put my remote control and a can of pop or cup of coffee when I am lounging. That shelf has been there for 3 years. no sign of wear yet.
