Well the Trillium isn't home yet but I have been definitly throwing around names....Dottie (Dot), Maude, Fluffer-Nugget....these are a few that are standing out right now.
Our family names all our vehicles....it's fun and my young boys have a great time giving their suggestions.
Our vehicle names:
Subaru Legacy Gt Wagon...Alice after the Vampire in the Twilight book series
Subaru SVX....Jasmine because it's white like the flower
Kawasaki ZX14 motorcycle....Raya after the baby girl we never had...love my 2 boys and don't know what to do with girls!
Honda Hawk 650GT motorcycle...Dash after the little boy in the Incredibles movie, my youngest son picked that one.
We've had many more but they have passed on to other hands...hopefully loving hands!

hahahaha,,,, "The White House" ended up the proper moniker for our 5er. Depending on which way it is facing when we park, sometimes we sleep in The West Wing or The East Room. But You-Know-What is ALWAYS the Oval Office.

I come from a long line of happy and upbeat people....and folks that give names and/or nicknames to everyone and everything.....LOL
Hence, naming my trailers.... Dumplin' and Dinky.....17' and 13' Casitas respectively.

My 1973 Green Trillium was 'Olive' - hopefully the new owner's kept her name.
My 1976 Beige Trillium's name is 'Hazel'.
We named them because I have a utility trailer and it gets confusing saying 'the trailer' when you have 2 of them.

having a number of trailers...our trillium outback, a 23' sticky trailer for the boys and a utility trailer, we too, have been calling our outback simply "the little trailer"--and the 23' is naturally the big trailer....not very original, not very exciting, but it sure helps us to differentiate between them!

When we got the new Ford, I **thought** about Whitey (for the famous B-Ball player), but was concerned that if I was overheard calling the truck Whitey I might get mis-understood.
So, the truck is nameless. Cause it REALLY is Whitey - to name it something else is WRONG.

We have named several vehicles over the years. The Boler we are renovating is The USS NeverSail and is being done in a nauticle theme. The tow truck is a red Chevy Colorado named Ruby. But probably one of the silliest names was for our old white van......Vanna White....
Orlen Wolf
Oct 29 2009, 06:03 PM
The EggCamper is Wolf's Lair. Tow vehicles are Midnight, a Black Dodge Ram 1500, Pumpkin, an orange Land Rover Freelander SE3 and Grumbles, the old Bronco with the headers and low restriction exhaust system. All their names fit well.

Well....let's see if I can remember:
1974 Trill 1300 - The Green Grape
1974 Trill 1300 - Dewey
1978 Trill 4500 - Creampuff
1978 Trill 1300 - Stubby
Now the trailers we still have:
1972 Compact Junior - CJ
1974 Boler - BB (which stands for Brenda's Boler)
1987 Bigfoot, 5th wheel - Sasquatch
1995 Bigfoot, 2500 Truck Camper - TC (haven't thought about a name for this one yet).
Much easier to refer to them by a name!

I call mine the USS Egg-terprise. I've toyed with adding warp nacelles to the top, but I think I'll just stick with getting the name stenciled on.
Some Star Trek curtains would add a nice touch. My neighbor ladies are checking the fabric stores for me :-)

Our new Escape 19 has been dubbed "Grasshopper"
Why?....... Aaahh, Grashopper… good question
Grasshoppers make us think of being outdoors in nature. They hop from place to place singing their song.
Another inspiration for the name came from the old Kung Fu TV series. The main character’s (Caine) nickname given to him by his Kung Fu master was Grasshopper. Since this will be our first travel trailer of any sort, we reckon that we will have lots to learn and experience together literally & metaphysically speaking similar to Cain

My tug is a Honda Odyssey, which fits because most of our trips
are great cross country Odysseys.
The
Fiber Stream is a realization of a life long dream of mine, and everything about it brings me joy. Even fixing the broken stuff.
It needed a name that went together with 'Odyssey' to form a combined name for the whole rig.
I thought of the story of Michelangelo and the Sistine Chapel, "
The Agony and the Ecstasy" and with a twist, I had a name!

If the car is "
The Odyssey", then the trailer is "
The Eggstasy"

I LOVE all these clever double-entendres - youse guyz are amazing! As in our avatar, the Scamp is the GeezerEgg, tugged by the GeezerMobile. Our former tow vehicle which carried that moniker was a Mazda MPV and GeezerMobile just fit. Now we have a Ford E350 which we unofficially refer to as "Overkyl" for obvious reasons!

The grandsons just call it "Grandmere's VanCar"

I have never came up with a name for ours, I have thought and thought of what would be fitting to the reason for buying it, but can't come up with something that would work. I hate not having a name! Our VT is called "Howie" for "Hotel on Wheels." It is our rolling hotel. We have been places we never would have gone had we not bought the VT. Before, we would question if we could afford the cost of a vacation. Now we just ask which direction we are taking Howie next summer.

When we bought our '72 Trail Mite the seller thought that it was a Burro. It wasn't until I discovered this site months later that I recognized it as being a Trail Mite. But by then we'd already been calling it "the Burro" and the name had sorta stuck by then.
Maybe we should change the spelling to "Burrow"?

Thank You Donna, Raya had tried to help me with a French journey meaning but it didn't seem to translate well. So gave that up and have been idea-stuck ever since. But this might work................
Can you tell me the translation for the word ( The)
( The Journey) is what I would like it to say.

Just to be honest about this, I don't speak Italian. Shoot, I don't even speak English very well!
Any way, I used iGoogle for the translation:

When we traveled in Mexico with our first egg, a 17' wide body Burro, it drew attention. Some friendly locals laughed when they saw the Burro decal and dubbed the egg "Burrito Americano". We loved it and it stuck. We now have a Bigfoot which we have named "Squatchi". Squatchi and Cassis (our tug) have taken us on many adventures.
