Hi Nancy, and congratulations on your new Scamp!
Since you have a 1978, I assume you have the Ensolite walls (light grey and vinyl, with a texture like elephant skin). Ensolite is very scrubbable, so if yours hasn't already been painted, you might consider simply trying to clean it.
If it has already been painted, and that's not in good condition, then you probably do need to paint. Or if you just want to.
We've had lots of really informative threads on painting, with details about preparation, brands and types of paint, application techniques, etc. They can be searched either with the search function here, or with something like Google (type in the words you want to search, followed by "site:fiberglassrv.com" only leave off the quotation marks).
I don't know of any source of ready-made cushions or covers other than Scamp. However you can cut your own foam with an electric turkey knife. Or, if your current foam is supportive enough for you, but just dirty, you can clean it ("grape stomp" in bathtub, or etc.).
For covers, except for the Scamp ones, I think you would either have to make your own, hire someone to make them, or maybe find a used set here or elsewhere in the classifieds. They don't crop up too often, but I have seen them.

Wow, can't believe you all responded so fast. Raya, thanks, have been scrubbing for 2 days, got the mold off, but it is hopelessly stained. I searched paint last night and found the Zinser stuff, thought it looked like a possibility, glad to hear someone has used it with good results. I appreciate all the help and will post pictures when I am done.
Thanks,
Nancy
