Yesterday I went to visit an old friend of mine who lives way out in the sticks sort of a hermit bachelor I got there in the early morning as he was just finishing his breakfast of bacon and eggs. We sat and talked through the morning and shortly after noon I got up to leave and he insisted I stay for lunch. And s he set the plates on the table I noticed that they didn’t seem too clean and I asked Are these plates clean/ And he replied “as clean as cold water will get them!” we finished lunch and as I went to my car to leave his big dog stood by my door and growled at me I said Pete will you call off your dog And he said GO LAY DOWN COLD WATER!!

I think I'll skip breakfast
