Who’d have thunk it? Last March 7, 2003, at the Casita factory, Jay checked me out and hooked me up. Dick Morris took the ‘official’ picture and waved me good bye . I was off in my brand new 17SD Casita, and I went full timing.

Fast forward to December 3, 2005 – many thousands of miles later, I have been aboard for 1,000 nights, without interruption. After the first 500 days, it sorta became a goal. Even friends inviting me over at their Montana ranch, “hey, if you don’t mind, I like to sleep in my own bed”. They understood. Perhaps they rolled their eyes .

I wonder, has anyone stayed aboard their egg for a longer time? Also, I reached age 72 on Halloween. Does that make me the Senior Grand Poobah of Casiteers? Oh well.

Understand Pete Dumbleton is long term as well. Any one else?

Wow, I'm impressed...truly. If the Casita suits your every need, I see no reason to change This is inspirational...I want to full-time for five full years after retirement. Visit every state in the continental U.S. at the very least. It's nice to know others have made it work for them

Wow! That's amazing. How fun that must be.

I think that many of us would like to give it a try, but it's just not feasible. I know others have tried, but gave it up.

You deserve the award.

Congrats Ed!

I couldn't agree more.

The more we're in our Casita ... the more we want to be in our Casita.

And ... it's nice to know there are other fiberglass nuts who have spent "years" of their lives comfortably cocooned in a fiberglass shell.

Like fine wine ... the experience only gets better with age (nights camping, that is!)

Looking forward to many more "years" of camping!
