That is nice! One of our neighbors recently bought a Nash Metropolitan and he was surprised I knew what it was. I've always liked them, and miss the first car I bought for $40, an English Ford 4 door Prefect.
Wish they still made the car and the caravan.

As a kid, two of my buddies and I tried to blow the rear end off a Ford Prefect that was off in a farmer's field.
We filled the gas tank with anything flammable that we could find and I was nominated to set it off. Plan was I would shove the flaming stick into the tank and run like double hockey sticks.
The flaming stick flew out of the filler pipe, missed my neck by about 2 inches, disappeared in the clouds and came down about 300' away.
Nothing happened to the Prefect, which is why you are blessed with my presence.

I presume it is obvious that the Portafold is an all-fiberglass folding trailer:

The Portafold club has a comprehensive web site at: portafold.co.uk The home of the Portafold caravan

Kind of reminds me of my old Apache hard sided tent trailer.

Too bad no one made something like that on this side of the pond. I like it!

We should keep that in mind and maybe "git 'er done."

I'd like to have one with a boat top version. . . . . . lol

I like the camper.
But I love the tow.
Been looking for one.

Mike someone tried to do something similar, or maybe they've succeeded and we don't know about it. Larry Drake joined our ranks more than three years ago as a new manufacturer. You may want to check out the thread: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ups-41616.html

Cool looking trailer. It seems lots of great things were created, and hatched, in 1957.

I checked up on those when I started deer hunting.
I like the idea of a camper that can be used on a
already existing trailer. Double duty for the trailer.

Nope Donna, not quite the same thing. Although the Teal is lightweight and all, it doesn't fold down.

I would feel hesitant to tow a Teal through a rainstorm, with all those seams. Not the least of which is at the floor of the utility trailer it's mounted on.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Donna. I have been looking for this topic, cause I have wanted to go check it out. But things went side ways with Rod about that time and I lost the topic. Have thought about it many times and was going to ask, to see if anyone could think of what I was talking about. Now I can finally go see this place. Let you know what I find!
