Trailer: Winnebago
Posts: 3
Hello. I found this sight browsing for rv shower stalls when a link brought me here. I am currently restoring a 1974 Winnebago Brave & I am contemplating redoing the interior. I currently have approximately 14 feet to play with, having the opening door at the front of the passenger side. I have previously camped in lightweight trailers from both Terry & Prowler. I like the idea of a full yet small washroom including a stand up shower, vanity/sink & toilet. As much sleeping accommodations as possible too. My restoration can be seen at: http://groups.msn.com/ClassicWinneba...la.msnw?Page=1. Thanks for any ideas.

Glenn, we're glad you found us. This site is dedicated to molded lightweight fiberglass RVs (trailers and 5th wheels), and there is not a motorhome among us. You will have better luck finding the answers you seek on a different site. I'd suggest you click here for more information: Open Road Forums on RV.net

Thanks Palmer M. What I am looking for is a floor layout. As I have said, like your lightweights 16' is what I have to play with. I will be reskinning the Winnie with Filon (fibreglass/plastic) this summer. I have seen one other here in Ontario that was done that way & it looks pretty neat. Do you have a picture of the layout in your Trailer? Thanks.

Molded lightweight fiberglass rvs do not have "skins." Glenn, you are referring to flat panels with seams. If you are looking for interior layouts, you may want to visit the manufacturing websites for all current molded lightweight fiberglass rvs:

I don't know how much you can use... But my 16' Fiber Stream's floorplan is like this:

I think the "Stick Built" people could learn a lot from us [b]molded fiberglass folks.

Hi: Glenn... If you Google Bolerama there is a layout from a Boler/Scamp trailer on the home page. No measurements though!!! If you go to the Trailer Mfg's sites they have floor plans to view but again not normally with measurements. Good luck with your "Project"

Thanks guys. I have checked the RV manufacturer sites. Always looking to find "new ideas". Donna, Filon is put on in one piece. Yes my winnie is not solid fibreglass. It is thermo panel construction, which most of todays ultralights are made from. Basically a Winnebago invention. I to camped in ultralights & sold my last one in 2005, a Prowler 25S. Bought the Winne as a project like your Bowlers & haven't looked backed since. Just sourcing & sharing information. PS Alf S I have a friend down in Straffordsville, Ontario that has a winnie just like mine you may have seen. It too has been resided with filon & looks like a retro fibreglass winnie. Pretty cool.
