1977 8 ft Scamp Winter Edition????
Has anyone heard of this before? There are only supposed to be 100 of them made. I can't find anything on the web about it and Scamp is closed for the day. I need some verification and info. ANYTHING would help! thanks sandi

Nope, I've never heard of a 8' Winter Edition. But, that doesn't mean it didn't exist. I'll be real curious to find out about it....

it was posted on Craigslist today in the S.CA area. I talked to the guy and he swears its a special model where only 100 were made in '77 and it's 8 ft. Swearing that it was not 13 ft. Said that he would send me picks in 20 minutes but that was a couple hours ago. I'll wait for pics and report back.

in the mean time, what's up with all the bogus scamp ads? I'm new in my search but it appears that 90+% are junk, out to get a reply and snag your reply email, probably to sell it to spammers. Frustrating. I can tell this will take time and patience.

Humm, still interesting. Are you sure it's not a Scamper (which is a tent trailer)?

If looking to buy, there's some good information here: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ead-27775.html

You know our 13 Scamp body is actually 10 feet with 3 feet being the tongue. Maybe that's the confusion in measurements.

I've heard of the Minit and I believe they were a spin off of Boler as was Scamp etal. The Minit should be the same size as a 13 footer.

These people are probably using a "Fisherman's tape measure"

after speaking w/ Scamp dealer, they state that they never manuf. anything smaller than the 13, which is 10' body + 3' hitch. Thought so. Thanks for all the replies.

It's a 13 ft Scamp, as for the winter edition...hmmm... not any different than any other Scamp I've seen as far as I can tell with those pictures. Maybe it has dual pane windows?

It needs some loving but I've seen (and owned) much worse.

Maybe it has holes in the floor for ice fishing.
