Just purchased this unit and I'm missing the key and cylinder for the lock. I need a replacement. Please help.

Hi, Congratulations on the new rig!
I'm not sure of Surfside door handles but most others I've seen can be replaced with a garage door handle/lock bought at Rona, HD etc. The scamp website also sells new sets. If ordering into Canada I'd ask if they'll ship with USPS. UPS will gouge you an extra $40 in hidden broker costs.
Cheers,
Mark

When i got my surfside it came with no keys, but a lockmith made one for 25 dollars. I have a bargman l400 lock and got a lock repair kit for 80 us over the winter on ebay. These kits show up from time to time and range from 79 to 140 dollars due to the being old stock and the l400 is out of ptoduction .even the complete units go for about 150 plus. My advise is to keep looking and be patient, something will show upbefore summer

first off if you have the cylinder there is a lock smith in Calgary that can rekey it for you...second if needing a cylinder I have a brand new spare with keys as I was my Surfside TM14 came without a cylinder...however have since found a brand spanking new L 400 Bargman for $375...so the cylinder for me is now a spare...since we rarely use our unit am sure the new lock will last for our lifetime and the cylinder spare is not required so can pass it one for my cost...

If you have a Bargman lock, I have found new interior cylinders with keys for both the L400 and L300 on the shelf at my local rv dealer, for less than 15 bucks each. I only bought the 400 because that is the lock on my Trillium. So, I think you might have some luck if you visit the parts departments of various rv dealers in your area, and ask them if they are not on the shelves. they no longer make those locks, but there are still some spare parts around here and there.
