I'd agree that Alberta prices seem to be a bit lower than here in BC. I picked up one last fall
for a VERY reasonable price, but will require a bit of work -- mostly on the inside for new cushions, repair to cabinets, new blinds for the windows
, and we are considering putting in a double axle
, so the savings on the purchase price will go back into the trailer. For us, it was the fact that it was structurally sound, and all the major systems worked fine that was the deciding factor.
I was monitoring prices of the 5500's last fall
, and ones that appeared to be in reasonable condition seemed to be going for around $8K in Ontario and Quebec. I havent seen the one Booker attached for $8900, but i have seen some of the bolers on the same lot, and most would require quite a bit of work in my opinion.
Would be interested in more details on the one listed for $7500, as it is listed as a 1984 model. i understood that the 5500s were only made in 1980 and 1981....
