That would feel like pulling a neutron star behind my subaru, but it sure is a nice looking trailer! Definitely out of my fuel budget range.

It's a non molded bigfoot, they did make those in addition to the molded one we love.

Rgrugg, you have a 31 foot trailer that only weighs in at 3100#? The 19' Escape is 2500# dry, which I consider a very light trailer, but it's far from a 31 footer. I looked on the Kodiak web site and they only have a 29' with slide outs and it's 5800#. Yours must not have any slideouts.

It is a sticky ... and a big one at that!

There was a "just for fun" thread on this forum asking what design changes we'd wish for our trailer to make it perfect. I'd wish for a [fiberglass trailer] slide out! A slide out would let me convert my gaucho couch into a queen size bed. My hubby could sleep with me and there would be plenty of isle room to walk around the trailer with the couch made into a bed. I already have a privacy curtain for the couch. The curtain would hide the couch/bed so that the cabin would look "clean" during the day.

Of course, new fiberglass, manufacturing methods and technology would keep the weight when fully loaded way far down.

Just a thought ...

My mind was in a dither, I guess. The 2500# is HALF of our Kodiak. It 31 ft has one slide and weighs 5000# dry out of the factory. Our additions have increased that. Probably7 weighs in the neighborhood of 6000# ready for the road.
