i just started a job at a local gas station, last week, & today i had my first "accident report" incident...
a guy drove into our station with a dodge truck & 5th wheel 35'+ trailer... he was planning to get gas, but misjudged the height of his trailer when he drove under our canopy... our canopy is really high, so i didn't think he'd have trouble...
the A/C unit on top of the trailer was 3" too tall for our canopy. & destroyed the cover... then he tried to back up from being stuck, & destroyed the compressor & fan on the A/C unit...
after that, he tried letting air out of his tires, in hopes of getting out, but i had already gotten a ladder, & assessed the damages... the A/C unit was hopelessly lodged into the corner of our canopy, & letting the air out of the tires had pulled it off his roof...
he finally called a local camper dealer, & the sent a tech over to remove the A/C unit, so he could get out...
so, when the A/C unit was removed, he backed up out of the canopy, & proceeded to drive back under it to get to the air compressor... i thought for certain he was going to hit the rear A/C unit/fan on the canopy, but it cleared by an inch...
there was no damage to our steel canopy...
it only took 3 hours for him to get back on the road, & he didn't even get gas... he probably had to go to the local R/V dealership to get repaired, before proceeding with his vacation...

sorry i didn't get pics... it was both funny & tragic to watch...
