So...

I guess I'll just start with Thank You. Life is funny. Six years ago I thought I would retire and drive Route 66 in my '62 Corvette. Here I am reaching that golden age restoring a'74 Boler with a ??? tow vehicle. Don't get me wrong this has been great! However I have to say that belonging to this Forum has been a God send. Life takes it turns and I have always said that I don't want to be defined as that guy that has had .... happen to him, but rather how I handled it. I have posted pictures of my $200. field find and the joy I have had in its restoration. I have always had a creative side and that has led me to where I am. I have taken this project on not knowing where it would take me but I like it. Need I say it has been very therapeutic.
As I continue to work on this, learning as I go, I have relied heavily on the information and knowledge of the forum members, their post and wisdom. As I am doing the wiring I read back posts, WOW I never knew so much about batteries. I just bought one put it in the boat and when it failed, replaced it. Who would have thought the bouncing would shorten it's life. Not me. You taught me to look at different types of batteries and it's placement on the trailer to extend its life. Oh my goodness. I had no idea!!!
We all have different likes, tastes and ideas but that doesn't mean one is right and the other wrong. Keep posting and responding. You have no idea how much a simple thumbs up means to other viewers.

learning all that interior work and I am betting you are going to learn to lay fiberglass and painting in the final episode of your journey.

go ahead and live your dream when you hit the road with your tug you are going to be so proud! you will be kept busy showing off your rig as you travel also!

+10 Best thanks you can give is share your triumphs and failures along the way as others will surely learn from you as well.

Everyone takes a slightly (or dramatically) different approach to repairs, so seeing another one is never a repeat. And even if you do a repair the same way, its confirmation on the method!

This is one great crew! Never thought I'd ever get involved with anything like this, but these folks are the salt of the earth. You need help? All you have to do is ask. These are a bunch of super smart, friendly and experienced people dragging "plastic" trailers around. Sure feels like family....

Thanks, they are all pretty great here.

But I like to think of our trailer as "glass," not plastic, if you don't mind my saying so.
(Like Cinderella's slipper, which was actually fur in the original French, but never mind that!)
