Hey, Fred!
How come no Oregon State Parks overnights???
They're beautifully cared for, the coast is full of them, the restrooms are spotless in my experience, the showers are FREE, and this time of year I think rates including electric etc. are less than twenty dollars a night.
What's not to like???
Francesca

If you're talkin' about Oregon Parks:
Electric and free showers, for sure. Cable? I doubt it...Wi Fi? Prolly depends on the location....
Well dispersed, private sites in gorgeous settings very near the beach? YES!

Well I learn something all the time!
My experience with state and provincial parks hasn't been great and we kinda just quit looking into them all together. Although they were always great locations. I promise to visit Oregon pks

Oregon Parks are little gems, each and every one!
Unlike Washington's...my State's whole Park system's been defunded by the legislature and thrown on its own devices. Can you believe it?
And it shows...Washington has literally given away at least half a dozen Parks, with more on the block. Others are closed or have curtailed hours.
By contrast, Oregonians take such pride in their Parks that they passed an initiative a few years back dedicating a portion of lottery proceeds strictly to Parks, and there's annual support from the General Fund, too. And of course an annual day pass, though it's not required everywhere.
As a result, Oregon Parks is one of the few such systems nationwide that's actually expanding! I think they opened a brand-new campground near Portland this year.
Anyway (speech over) do check them out, maybe on your return trip...
Francesca

Boy, that grub sure looks good!
And I love the shot of your little trailer in the dark with its lights all on...it looks just as cozy as can be. You're making my itch to go camping get worse all the time, and I can't for another month or so.
Guess I'll just have to get my camping thrills vicariously through you
What's the "Sonoma road course"? Some kind of race track or something?

Well I'm not crazy about fish but it was good.
Marilyn is very happy with the additional counter space plus the stove cover and sink cover add lots of options. Wish I had tools with me have more ideas for mods lol
Ya I'm a Nascar redneck and they race there in june.
A good camera and the ability to use it would help the nite shots,,,

Gilroy to Pismo Beach today. Stopped at the Madonna Inn (no relation to the singer, I asked.) in San Louis Abisbo (spelling?). Had one of the best salads I've ever had! Walked on the beach at sunset was a great day!

Stunning! Looking these view pictures is the exact reason I'l never have a trailer that doesn't have a rear dinette. I can't imagine eating dinner and looking at the back of my tug and then missing out on these kind of views.

I agree I have seen some trailers with layouts I like but the lack of a big rear window takes them off my list. Some of the best views are had from the rear of the trailers in many camping spots.

Fred how are things going. Light snow fall today and sounds cool for the week. I may have found 46 Ford pick up cab. That will be the start on my rat. I hope to hear back from him this week end. I'll let you know. Take care. Vic.
