Boat's are often referred to as a She. I'm not touching whether there's Freudian content to you're being a She traveling in a Her or a He traveling in a Him or visa versa. Just wondering if you think of your trailer in this sense.

Hey, Steve, it's an egg - and eggs have no gender. Our UHaul is just Un Oeuf for two! As for sex, well, you never know what may be concealed inside the egg!

Casita, is feminine for little house. "Nuestra Casita" , translates to "our little house" and we both refer to her. Somehow, a Casito just doesn't sound right.
On the other hand, a Burra sounds a little peculiar also. I guess it's like beauty, it's all in the 's of the beholder.
Maybe the best that can be said, is confusion reigns.

The Shady Bush II is a boy because he is ruff and tumble, and currently smells really bad.

My Trillium is a flower. Flowers are both boy and girl . How I talk about it depends on the mood I'm in . I usually think of the trailer as an "it'.

I wasn't kidding when I responded to the comment about "her" and "she" when referring to an inanimate object such as a trailer. My neighbor has this habit of calling everything anything but what it is...a rake, a shovel, a saw, etc.,...and says it's a "him" (mostly). If I can get "him" deep enough to cut through the root ball (while planting with a shovel). I believe, without Googling this subject, that there is something psychologically significant when people use gender to describe objects, not people or animals. Must have missed that one in Psych 101.

Interesting topic. I have an 'IT' I think. Maybe it's finer side will show up as it's innards are replaced. Don't know. The name I picked -- Egg Krate is pretty unisex.

Inanimate objects don't have gender in my world, but they can get names... they certainly have personalities, and they do get talked to.

Information is good. Lack of information is not so good, but misinformation is much worse. Check facts, and apply common sense liberally.

Well, then farmers who have been paying to have eggs sexed have been cheated for many years!

I voted twice, for a he and she. (I have two login names, since I had to change it once last year when I had lots of trouble with my original login using my Treo.) Our VT is Howie. Although, we gave it a male name, and it is not as girlie cute on the outside as our Burro was, I have some girlie-looking things inside. Howie is androgynous.
