Thumbs up A trip . . . and a bit of a fall

Our great four-month adventure was going smoothly until White River, Ont., after which it isn't going anywhere for a few days. The clutch in our TV packed it in and after limping 60 km back to Marathon, we learned it would be four days before they could get parts. But the owner of the repair facility in this town of 3800 said we could park in his lot. When we asked about a tow to a local campground, he insisted we take his truck, got us firewood from his home and loaned us the use of a 1951 hearse to tour the town and to garner supplies - what I would call service above and beyond. We'll post the details on our blog - On Burroed Time - tomorrow, providing we can track down wifi again.
Our great adventure continues.
cheers
Ian

Sorry to hear about the mechanical problems, but 1951 Hearse? What a hoot, and what a memory. Hope you got some pictures! I'll keep a watch on your blog for the update.

oh dear

Oh dear - hope you get it fixed soon!!
I've added myself as a follower at your Blog; maybe we can compare notes as I'm travelling from Ottawa to Albuquerque and back, in my 13 foot Boler.
Best of luck!

I'm so glad the Oregon/Tennesse game was weather delayed. I used the time to catch up on the blog, Ian and Vickie.

GREAT read for us, great times for you!

Hi,

That '51 looks like a fun vehicle to be touring around in. I particularly enjoyed the additional photo's in your most recent post. Keep the photo's coming and safe travels on the rest of your trip.

Phil

Thoroughly enjoying the blog and had nostalgic feelings and memories as you recounted your vist to Neepawa and coffee with Jack Huxley. Great to know he is still alive. He and his wife were great friends to us when we lived in Neepawa. I have climbed the 9 th hole hill with its rope tow back in 1982. Happy trails.
