We are both 61, Married for 9 years. When I was single I would take the convertible and head up to the north shore on most weekends. I was really good at packing my tent and everything I needed for the weekend. After we got married, and I found out I could pull a Scamp with my van, I owned one within two - three weeks. The three things my husband said he liked to do in life is Fish, Camp and Ride his Harley. Well after we got married, he sold the Harley the next summer, He has spent two night's in the camper, and we have been in our boat 3 times, and we are only four miles from the lake. My body says I'm to old for tent camping, so I'm happy that I found this site and my Scamp, now I can go camping just about anywhere. I now have a Schnauzer as my camping buddy and I go as often as I can. I think camping gets in our blood, I know I sure enjoy it! I live in town, and I put a note in the window of the Scamp "I'm not for Sale". I've had several people stop and want to buy it.

I am 52, wife is 48. Had to actually get the calculator to figure that one out as my actual age seems to progress faster than my mental age. We have been tent campers forever and just this year have stepped up to our first travel trailer, an Escape 19. Looking forward to many years exploring new places and boldly going where we have not gone before.

Thread was a fun read, thanks all :-)

I'm 55 & my wife 53. This Memorial Day weekend marks our 30th anniversary...how are we spending it? All cozied up inside our rolling Bed & Breakfast at one of our favorite rivers in the Pacific Northwest.

Though things may change...we have actually planed the purchase of our particular rigs to last well into retirement. I'll come back and check the 60-70 age group in a few years.

We are 70. Just left the Newfoundland rally and a great music festival. Now headed east across Newfoundland. Will be on the road until they rip the keys from our hands.l

Female, 40, single.

Mine was new to me last year. Typically $ had other places to be....I've wanted a scamp for years and picked up an 82 (still younger than me:-) ) instead of building a deck for my house.

44 here, and I got my Escape 17' in 2010. I was tent camping before, and owned years ago a VW bus that I had converted into a camper. Love my Escape named Cafe Egg, and it belongs to family. Since the family grew, the 8 year old girls have to sleep now in a tent when we go camping, and our baby boy is with us in Cafe Egg. My guy is 4 years younger than me.

Norm and Ginny: Glad you had a great Newfoundland holiday. We'd love to get there, need the egg first! My wife (62) is just now on the phone with a friend who's just home after a week in NF.

I'm 63 next week and retiring next year, moving to be closer to our family and hopefully buying an Escape. We camped for years with our three kids in 13 FT. Gypsy (not an egg) but a nice little trailer. We got as far as New Brunswick and through NH on the way home. We're looking forward to lots of travel in retirement.

I'm a young 72 and my wife is a juvenile 67. We have owned our Boler since 1994 and done several east to west trips With it. We are already planning to attend the Ontario Bolerama in July and then head west immediately, to join up with the group in Saskatchewan. From there we will head to Grande Prairie Alberta.
After that we'll check out some museums and provincial parks as we tour back home.
