Alaska Bound

After a month of dawdling up the west coast, attending the Spring NOG, and spending time with family and friends in the Northwest, we're finally ready to start the Canadian portion of our northbound trip.

We've had a wonderful time so far, and Donna, our total elapsed time for rain is now up to 15 minutes although it looks like that is due to change in the next few days.

We'll continue updating the blog when we find available public wi-fi as we spend a couple weeks transiting Canada since the Verizon phones will be off. I can't afford their Canadian data costs!

We have had great weather here in the Pacific NorthWET the past 2-3 weeks John, glad you were able to enjoy it. Safe travels to you and BJ. And, I look forward to following along on your blog.

As a vicarious traveler, I particularly enjoy the travel blogs. I can't wait to read about the travels up and through AK.

Blue Skies

We've had about an hour of rain total so far on the trip with blue skies and shirt sleeve weather predominating. Spent last night in Hinton, Alberta and stocked the groceries this morning. Should be in Dawson Creek on Sunday. This trip is so much more fun than the 3 day version in a car that I did in February a couple years ago!

Just reading this thread makes me want to pack up and go. Your trip is one we hopefully will do next year. Looking forward to following your adventure and perhaps learning for when we do the trip.
