What a sad ending for a Blue Bird coach, one of the best of the best.

At least it's a 'clean' looking rig, no 'junk' hanging all over it. In 1993 we did the Alaska Highway 'thing'. My old diesel P/U hauled the biggest camper you could buy in 1987, a 12' Real Lite with side entry door. Camper alone weighed in neighborhood of 3K lbs, & with a 12' 'box' it extended almost 4' past the end of the truck bed. I fabricated a ball mount to tow my little Toyota 4WD P/U & we put more'n 12K miles on the rig in just over 2 months. We set up a 'base camp' at Granite Creek NF C/G just onto the Kenai Peninsula & explored the Kenai for several days in the small truck. One day we drove into a state operated campground about halfway down the Kenai, & in one of the loops was parked what appeared to be a home built, chassis mount truck camper. The outside of it looked like my Grandpa's old barn. Every spare inch of the outside except the windows was 'hung' with every imaginable kind of item from spare tires to an actual kitchen sink. Dunno if he had a 'yard sale' going or what? We were kinda afraid to stop, & were so surprised we didn't even take a pic. I've seen lots of strange looking campers thru the years but that one beat 'em all... Still regret not getting a pix of it.

If you can imagine it, probably someone could build it. I once saw a converted bus towing a double decker trailer with a boat on the upper deck and a Jeep type vehicle on the lower deck. There are zillions of "interesting" things around if you look. Good cheap entertainment.
