A
rally is a great place to have that happen. So much free experienced help! I attended a vintage
rally last year and one of the attendees went off on the Friday morning to talk to a local farmer about an old trailer he had seen in his yard covered in blackberry's. They bought the trailer for $300 and went and got a plate for it and then towed it on a back road a mile to the meet - was lucky the thing actually made it that far without the wheels falling off.
The trailer was a mess hadnt been on the road for more than 25 years and it was knee deep inside with old stuff that who know what was growing in it. Blackberry vines still clinging to the outside. By the time Sunday morning rolled around the trailer and been cleaned out inside, power washed outside, it had new wheel bearings and
tires, all new running
light wiring and a new seven pin harness. The old
fridge & stove had been taken out and checked over and put back in a roof vent cover replaced. Some window hardware had been fixed. In fact so many people wanted to work on the trailer the owner had to beg them not to touch anything more.
