what the heck is with all this algonac stuff?...well, its a cool place first off.
and second off on sunday sept. 30th there is a dnr work day for the state park stewardship folks. work isn't really what we will be doing. we will be picking wild flower seeds to help rejuvinate another lake plains area.
so if your near by, or not, and want to spend a few hours enjoying the
fall weather. would like to learn to identify one or two plants, pick some seeds, meet some cool people, help our parks, restore one of the few remaining lake p[lain prairies. then come on out. we will probably start about 9 am and finish around noonish. personaly, i will be working on a blacklighting team friday night capturing culvers root borer moths. so will be camping for the weekend.
P.S. i know it may be starting to sound like i own stock in algonac state park,,,lol, i don't. just one of our favorite parks is all.
