Totally agree that if you cancel ahead of time you ought to get some kind of refund--as a reward, if nothing else. Seems shameful to keep all your money and let the site go empty. Or re-rent it and pocket the extra.


I think they're trying to discourage multiple bookings where you might be encouraged to book several and only use one, what the heck, you can get most of your money back. I'm sure it's working there.


We got to go to a gathering in Bandon because someone was kind enough to cancel close to the date and we happened to be looking online only moments later...that was very nice.


So far we try to cancel well in advance if we can.
