I'm very happy with the way it went down (fast-easy ~4hrs) in my
scamp 16 ...Thrilled the way it looks. Yes I read all the pro/cons and whining on the various RV forums about Allure flooring ...we'll see how it performs with the temperature extremes here in CO?
I did make sure it's floating even in the dinette I left the bench seats sitting on the Allure but didn't screw them down through the Allure ...but the seat are fastened on sides/top-back so they aren't going anywhere and the floor can expand/contract all it wants!
I laid it side to side in dinette and front to back in main living area. Reason? ...it was easier in the dinette and less waste. Kick boards under cabinets I plan to use piece of black painted plywood to hide float gap and some 1/4-round in open areas where gap is visible (entry and bunks) ...used almost 2-boxes for total job.
Will report back in a year if I've issues with adhesive separating and gaps etc ...but for now it's a huge improvement over the ugly/smelly carpet! Took longer to remove and prep floor than installing the Allure! Also the design I chose Country Pine will pretty much hide any gaps that may decide to appear ...time will tell?
From now on a dust pan-broom cleanup and a few throw rugs will make this place a tidy home on the road for this old goat.
