Alt to Memory Foam?

I've been reading where Memory Foam is hot in the warmer climates. I'm already a hot sleeper and use a fan and window A/C in our bedroom with our pillowtop matress. Has anybody discovered another matress topper product that is comfortable yet cooler?

Hi Melissa

After extensive research on what was cool and what was hot....we went with Costco Novaform for our mattress at home. It is not hot or warm in the least bit. They make a topper and my guess is it's as good as the mattress. We love it.
Have a great day!

Yes Memory foam is hot in the summer and in cold weather it gets hard or stiff until it warms up.

I gave up my overpriced and lousy $1200.00, 7 year old Select Comfort for the Costco Novaform mattress. I have NEVER slept as well as I do know.
For a year before I bought the mattress I had the Costco 4"topper on my bed. Summer days are 110 and nights cool off into the 80s. I have a thick matress cover and have never noticed any extra heat.

I have a Novaform topper- just fine. A regular memory foam mattress- too hot. It is going to need a topper. I never realized the difference until I got the mattress!

The closest one I could find is Orlando.

Find a Costco warehouse

That's because you live in the middle of nowhere. LOL

The closest one to you is 236 miles.

why not

why not order online? Of course you would have to join the club, but it may be worth it.
Below is the address or just go to Costco.com
Shop till ya drop!

Costco - Your search for "novaform" produced 24 results.

BTW....I don't think we would ever order anything but NovaForm again. Trust me, we have had some very expensive beds.

Costco is having a sale on the Pure Comfort Memory Topper. I ordered a twin, original price $99 minuse $20 off. The shipping and handling were free. The tax was $6.25. Plus, ordering online you can use other credit cards besides AMEX, the only one they accept in the stores. The sale is until May 31.

My Bigfoot has a short queen mattress (60 x 74). I wonder if I could cut six inches off the Novafoam Topper without ruining it?

I really have not tried any of the foam toppers, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE my down/feather topper.
I fluff it up every week when I wash the sheets, and it is great. For travelling I take it off our bed at home and squash it into the trailer.
I don't find it warm to sleep on, as I think it breathes quite well.

Honestly, before I ordered anything, I'd try out the bed in your new-to-you camper. Then, perhaps try something from home, and order that, if it helps.
We have a fiberfill (dacron?) featherbed on top of our bed cushions, because the cushions are extra firm, to allow me a place to "sink in". It's great. When we're home, I take the topper off the camper bed, and put it on the guest bedroom mattress. Our guest enjoy it, too.
Overstock dot com is a great place to buy any kind of mattress or mattress topper on sale. I recently bought a foam topper for the boat (haven't used it yet) for less than a third of list price, and shipping was peanuts... a couple bucks.
Good luck!

Thanks! My main concern with buying a topper without taking suggestions is the heat factor. I have recently learned Memory Foam is hot so that would not do at all so I need cooler foam options. If temp wasnt an issue I would probably go to Overstock etc as folks get great deals from there. Not sure if (how?) I would return a topper if it turned out to be hot. The info here tells me both how cool different toppers are and how comfy.

IMPORTANT QUESTION: Can you fit the Novaform topper to your bed by cutting it with an electric knife - like people do with memory foam?
