Aluminum Egg
Someone got creative (chop/chop) with an Airstream.
Interesting.

WOW! Thats cute....would love to see the inside! I admit I did look on line at Airstream's, but the Bambi, (the old one) was the only one in the right tow range weight wise for me and there all pretty expensive...and I have experience with fiberglass from all the work I did on my boats.

Yes, he did a good job. Wish it has dual axles though

Wow!
Is that really a "chopped" Airstream, if anyone knows?

Yes Francesc, it is for real.
By comparision here is a pic of a 34' Airstream that was "extended" to 37'.
Apparently of pro job that was done right.

Boy, talk about polar opposites- it'd be a hoot to see those two custom jobs together!
Is the pic above the only one of the mini? I'd sure like to see inside pics if anybody's got 'em, hint, hint...

I copied the pic from the Airforums a few years ago. I believe there was a thread on this little one. Will see if I can find it.
I'm back.... this is all I could find for now. http://www.airforums.com/forums/f36/...eam-31076.html
Apparently it started out as a dual axle 29' r.

There are 9 other photos under his name but none show the inside. He said he needed a new frame and floor so instead of going into debt he chopped 19' out of the middle. Some of the pics show him towing it with a Suzuki Samurai. Still very cool!

I wonder if there are any shiny silver paints that could coat an egg, to look like that?

Eastwood sells a 3 part chrome paint that is pretty convincing when done right.
EW Liquid Chrome
I saw it done on an unstyled John Deere L and it looked pretty close to chrome.

You could cover your egg with silver vinyl and it would look just like this. The application is similar to tinting.

Yeah, but unfortunately vinyl wraps only last about five years. Dang expensive for a "temporary" exterior finish. Doubt? Google is your friend.

5 years is the warranty. They last much longer and are easily repaired.

Five years sounds pretty good to me- at my time of life, that could be what a "lifetime-of-the-purchaser" warranty would add up to anyway!
