My step-daughter is touring as a backup singer with the Juno (the Canadian Grammy, eh?) winning singer Feist. This past Saturday night my wife and I were honoured (Canadian, eh? Again) to see her on the stage at Radio City Music Hall (I gotta say, a 30' tall Alex projected on the Big Screen behind the band is something awesome...and a little scary). Anyway, parked out behind The Hall on 51st Street in New York was a little 13' Scamp. I have got to tell you... the TARDIS technology that an award-winning musician has at their disposal is simply amazing. Look at the inside of that thing:
One thing... the Monster Bus (What, you thought I was telling the truth???) had these really neat cabinet latches. It was a round push button the connected to some sort of lever mechanism that popped a metal bar in and out of a little slot at the bottom of the inside of the cabinet. Elegant and simple. I'm going to see I I can find those...
hi gary---you must be very proud of her. i remember the first time i ever heard feist--or heard of her---was on cbc one morning listening to peter gzowski. his show always was good for bringing home-grown talent to light.
I am so bummed. My 13 doesn't look anything even closely related to that. Guess that is okay. Fiest deserves it! Wonderful music. Congrats on your girls success!
