America's Coolest Campgrounds

Okay, next to zero chance I'll take my trailer to Haleakala National Park, Maui Hawaii, but I hope you enjoy reading this: America's Coolest Campgrounds

Outside of Buena Vista, Colorado on the road to Cottonwood Pass is a Forest Service campground that is the nicest of its kind that we've ever seen. Cleanoverall, cleanest outhouses ever, level sites and on a lake. Maybe Cottonwood Lake c.g. but don't quote me on that. Add to it the half price with the federal "geezer pass" and you have a real deal. Also at Tortilla Flat forest service c.g. east of Apache Jct, AZ are water & sewer at every site.

Well..... I can say I've been to 2. Seawall in Maine (that area is just outstandingly gorgeous) and Fort Wilderness at Disney (which is like non other).
As a matter of fact, maybe that one at Glacier too although we didn't stay around long cause it was snowing in June and the roads were closed !!!)

Six Mile lake is an Ontario Provincial Park!!
all this while babysitting so mom & dad could go backpacking for a week in Algonquin Park to celebrate their 10th anniversary

Here's one which could be one of the neat ones, it was very nice when we were there about 4/5 weeks ago: Russian River Campground

The Russian River Campground is operated by Alaska Recreational Management, Inc., under a permit with the National Forest Service.
