Lynn,

There should be a city water hookup on the same side as your electrical. You'll need a new potable water hose you can get at Wally on the RV aisle. I wouldn't use the onboard system as long as this one has sat without either replacing or thoroughly sanitizing with bleach.

Buy a couple of jugs of water. You don't want to get sick on the trip home. You can refill the jugs at the campground for washing dishes, potty stuff, etc. Any water that goes into your mouth or is used for cooking should be fresh, clean water.

30 amps???????? It depends on the year of the Scamp. My '83 is only 15 amp electrical service (in which a 15 amp to 30 amp plug comes in handy for when just a regular plug is not available). Should be a sticker by the cord that states its amperage.

I think Scamp standardized on a 30A/120VAC shore cable in the '90s. That way one electrical setup fit all options. I removed mine and replaced it with a 15A/120VAC cable for less weight (and my BulgeMobile friend appreciated the opportunity to make a 30A/120VAC extension cable).

Adapters to hook to 15A/120VAC and 50A/240VAC might be needed, depending on the kinds of campgrounds one uses.
