I was able to take a very nice Bike Ride, about 26 miles, down in the Mesilla Valley between pecan groves and cotton fields on my Yamaha XT 250. It was nice and Sunny in the Morning, but Cloudy by the time I went out. Coolish but not bad with warm gloves, jacket and ski pants and Harley boots with wool socks. Went as far as Stahmann Farms but there are a great many other pecan orchards all over the valley. Themps was in the upper 50's I am guessing. http://www.lascrucescvb.org/html/stahmann_farms.html

Made me SMILE ! Keeps me kind'a sane.

Fotos at Stahmann Farms of Pecan Trees Harvested and off Hwy, 3nd photo of Machine Pruning (with multi-saws) after nut harvest.

Cotton fields were picked, but I didn't stop to take pics.

Red face

2nd shot of bike Pecans Orchards off Snow Road some harvested, some NOT. When leaves on the ground are in rows, after harvest; spread out on the ground, not picked yet. Even on a Sunday, there were quite a few out working the fields. "A" Mountain and Organ Mts on the way home at University & I-25 and the Aggie Golf Course NMSU. I especally like my Going & Coming on the Hwy Through Stahmanns Farm.
