I went with the P2 when I needed a new controller. Works great.

Another vote for the furnace, esp. if you plan on camping without electricity. The fan is loud so if we have power and need heat at night we will more likely use a small electric space heater. But, being in Colorado, we have woken up many times to snow or frost at a high elevation in the summer in a place with no hookups and have been very glad to be able to run the furnace for a little bit.

Purchase the larger battery. I also recommend the heater. We picked up our 13' Scamp in Backus in July of 2012. Essentially, it has everything except the AC and awning. We did have the roof prepped for AC, mostly for re-sale purposes. Our Scamp is used primarily to escape the heat of the Phoenix area summer. We head to higher ground where AC is not needed, but a bit of heat in the wee hours often is. A 10'x10' EZ Up makes a great covered porch. I love the clean and aerodynamic look of an egg roof free of add-ons.

Thanks Steve and Tom for pointing out the better prices. Last question....it looks like I can get the P2 with the wiring harness and bracket holder, etc., in the same self contained pkg I saw at CW yesterday, but for $105 vs $134. I read on one site that there are different wiring harnesses' for different vehicles...I.e. Ford, Chrysler...etc...... Will the one I buy on e-bay work for my Jeep Wrangler.

I believe that the wiring harnesses are vehicle specific . When I ordered mine , E Trailer required info on my vehicle so they could send me the correct wiring harness

Generally, they come with a generic harness, i.e. you need to make the connections from a bare wire to the tow vehicle. As others have mentioned, you can get a plug and play connector to fit some vehicles, making the installation easier.
