The problem with NADA and these trailers is that NADA just doesn't reflect the actual market values. They get those few that are bought and sold by dealerships, and make their valuation based on those transactions plus whatever they do seasonally and regionally to adjust the values. Unfortunately the values that they show are generally only about 2/3s of what we see them being bought and sold for on the street.

Usually, the NADA price is a 'steal' in this market. They may be spot-on on white box trailers, but NADA is clueless about the street value of fiberglass trailers.

Hi, Bobby & Linda. Check out Benita's post on another thread, as she has some good advice on how to improve your advertisement for your Scamp.

ouch nada says 37-4,500 i know people like pictures guess i should take time and figure out how to do it, its just when i say its like new ,its like new, i guess i assume anyone looking for a scamp knows about scamps. thanks everyone, ill get it figured out sooner or later
I first saw a scamp on the travel channel... A show about "Sisters on the Fly" then my search was on... I didn't know one thing about them...Never saw one/been in one. After searching for 8 MONTHS I accidently found the casitaclub website and found my casita.

After reading months of ads I knew this one had more, but it didn't make sense to me still. One of my best friends brother owns an old FGRV and just happened to be in town, so he sat down with me explaining what my camper had and gave me a list of questions to ask the previous owner... If it wasn't for him, I probably wouldn't have purchased it.

not everyone looking knows about FGRV, the more you can put in the description the better. I had lots of inquiries on mine (I decided not to sell) and the main question was for pictures and if I would deliver. (my link is not working) I guess I did an OK job on the description. We(newbies) do like to see lots of pictures of things you wouldn't realize are important... like the toilet/hand held shower, ceiling vent, fridge, dinette turned into bed, and measurements etc. May seem silly, but to a newbie it's great! Also, the ones that seemed more interested in mine lived in NC, SC... the ones centrally and out west asked for pics, but then said they wouldn't be able to get it, so it may be a location thing also

Good Luck!

I lowered the price of mine to $7500.00 and put an ad in the local newspaper. I don't want to be sitting on it come summer. I will loose about a thousand dollars if it sells. Oh well!
Money will buy a fine dog, but only kindness will make him wag his tail.

Im here in ca i had a dealership call from carson city nev offered me 4. of course i said no, i would rather sell to a nice person for lower than a dealer who is gonna mark it up...they saw it on craigslist,in which i thought dealers arent suppose to call getting more hits with the trailer in my driveway with a for sale sign than i did paying for an ad in our paper
