We have to have an AC. I live in South Texas and the temperatures get up to 118 degrees. We camp mostly in the southern part of Texas. This week it'll be 95 degrees, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Welcome to winter in South Texas.

We also are forecast to have shorts & T Shirt weather this weekend.
Temps in the upper 30's to low 40's with sunshine.

Steve, people who don't know will laugh and think you're joking.

We,ve had a very mild winter so far . Many outdoor events have been curtailed or canceled. The ice conditions on many lakes is poor. What little bit of real cold weather we've had has been preceded by snow insulating the ground and lake ice. The snow plows went through at 6 AM this morning in anticipation of the warm up this weekend . I am not a warm weather person and if it stayed in the 60's to 70's all summer it would be fine with me .

I can remember as a child pressing my nose to the window screen just praying for a breeze on the hottest nights. I can also remember my wife and I camping in a tent on Cumberland Island Georgia in the middle of the summer once and only once. We still camp on Cumberland Island, but only up to April or after September.

So to us, yes, AC is a must for camping. We don't want to be limited in anyway to when we can camp.
