When I was younger during summer vacation my best friend went regularly to Hawaii, the nations newest state at the time, to visit his aunt in Pearl City. During those months we went camping in Canada. One summer he had an opportunity to join us instead of going to Pearl City, and he returned with us year after year. Now it's vogue, who'd a thunk it? During those summer months we'd learn about wildlife, make plaster castings of animal prints, how to handle firearms properly, visit local ranchers for supplies like ice packed in sawdust barns, boat ski, fish and stay up late around the fire....come to think of it, we still do most of that, but in a "molded"
fiberglass trailer not a "moldy" canvas tent !
