Yes, I was snowed in or I should say "Puff" was.

We expected low snow but not 6 inches. My storm was the one that made it's way to RVSue.

Fuel pump crapped out on the tractor....coldest day of the year, and the one time I really needed it. *sigh* Oh well, I restored it 3 years ago, and this is the first time I've touched a tool to it, can't complain too much. The Crapsman had me working on it before and after I used it every time.

$70 and an electric fuel pump later, she purrs like a kitten. It was running a wee bit off before, I think it might have been sucking air for a bit. The electric pump will make it much easier to start when it sits for a long time and the carb bowl evaporates.

I'm dug out, at least.

This is an iphone video, if you're horribly bored. I have a magnet on my phone case, and just stuck it to the grill and used the forward camera, so you get what you get.

Oh, and the Subaru wasn't truly stuck. I'm an idiot and forgot about turning traction control off, first time in real snow. I guarantee that won't happen again.

So- where's the tractor, Jared?

We haven't tried to start the Farmall, but the magneto's nice and dry by the woodstove in case we want to...

Tractor is in the pics.

I LOVE this weather. It's supposed to storm again Sunday, I hope we get dumped on. As long as I can clear my driveway, I'm happy. Let it snow, let it snow.

This snowstorm was a real bummer since I have lived where it didn't snow and grew up where they at least they had real snow equipment and didn't depend so much on "solar"! So, I really want to full-time and I was just thinking this morning that if I were supposed to do that I would get a "sign". Well, turning on the computer, the light snow that was predicted has changed to 8 to 12 inches. So, if that isn't a sign...............

Cathy ....I'm with you. Last week the 3 inches of sleet turned into ice on the drive-way going up to the dirt road so I have been down in my little hollow since Wednesday. Last storm used up all my ashes on the drive-way.....the 60's a couple of weeks ago (2 days worth) spoiled me. Rain for this evening and tonite with maybe flurries tomorrow.....could be down here for several more days. Did think ahead last week and bought 2 packs of chips/dip and as long as they hold out I will also try. Our township has more gravel roads than paved ones and only have one grader and a front-end loader and workers who don't like to be out in less than ideal weather...they too rely on solar....which works on non-shady and south facing areas. Oh well, our personal property/real estate taxes are less than $400 per year so I guess we get what we pay for.

Comfort food is the trick....the unhealthy kind.

We're (eastern OK) getting lots of rain today.
Western OK has already been declared disaster areas.
Deep snow and 65 mile/hour winds. Haven't heard what
damage has been done yet. Haven't seen the news or weather.
We're supposed to be getting snow around midnight tonight.
We'll see. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
