Anyone have one of these tongue locks?

I like the idea that you have to access the key cylinder from the bottom. Might take a little longer to pick.
Has anyone tried this lock. CALLED TRAILER COP LOCK.

Anyone wanting your trailer will lock your tow chains together and hook it over their trailer ball or pintle hook and be gone. Better to lock your trailer levelers in the down position. Lock your tow chains to prevent them being used against you. If you want to lock your ball coupler make it very visual so they go shop someplace else. Some of those big yellow coupler security locks comes to mind. Locking your hitch jack in the down position should help too. If someone wants it they will take it given the opportunity. All you can do is slow them down and make is very noisy to take or such a pain to take that they may seek someone else’s trailer. Storage lots are a smorgasbord of expensive toys ripe for the plucking.

All my sons trailers at hapier camper in Los Angela's had heavy duty hitch locks on them and thieves took 2 of them in 1night . I think the one thing that makes them attractive to thieves is the same thing that makes them attractive to us and that is ease to move them and tow them with just about anything .

Is there a website that posts photos of all stolen trailers? Something akin to America's Most Wanted, trailer edition. If each and every campground/trailer park had access to such a site, the they could keep their eyes peeled for anything suspicious. The good part about our trailers is their uniqueness, so they pretty much stand out in a crowd. Also I think a lot of us (including me) lack photos of our trailers at every angle just in case we do need to post our loss here and on other sites. I never thought about my trailer being stolen, but at least I keep it in a locked and gated carport with a parked car in front of it. Do trailer thefts happen from camping places and trailer parks too?

About 10 years ago I had my ATV trailer stolen out of my drive way and it had one of those fancy $40.00 coupler locks on it.
Now all I do is lock an old ball in the coupler with a padlock.
Expensive coupler locks momentarily slow them down if they want your trailer.

Maybe a wheel lock would work.

I think the best solution and one we will be equipping our trailers with will be hidden tracking devices many products are becoming available if I were to leave my iPhone hidden in the trailer I would be able to find it

I checked into GPS tracking but haven't found any I like yet.
I also lock the coupler latch and have a cable through the wheel and around the axle. My trailer tongue faces my house when parked.

I will be locking my trailer levelers in the down position and locking my tow chains around my tongue jack so you can't turn the handle.
The more stuff the thief has to cut or remove the better to slow him down.
I know nothing is 100 % safe.

I think it is as much about slowing them down as it is about getting them to go look elsewhere. Most thefts are opportunity based, and these are the ones we want to deter. Those that are planned for a specific item are essentially impossible to prevent.

Tip on how to slow a thief down - get a Hensley Arrow hitch. Makes me want to walk away sometimes after having some difficulty getting the stinger inserted.

Thanks for that idea about cable through the wheel/axle Kevin. I saw an old bike cable in the basement yesterday and now know what to do with it.

We use one of those yellow locks on the tongue. I think the bright color deters the opportunistic thief. They'll just drive by our site and find one ripe for plucking. ...but someone prepared with bolt cutters could probably take the trailer anyway.

However I do like the idea of locking the levelers. Anyone have a link to something I could use to lock the front jack?

Seems that if they want it the thieves will get it.

However, many of the suggestions here should stop the run of the mill 'drive by' thief that's looking for an easy steal.
