Are any of these joined at the hip?

It looks to me that several of these campers are so close to the same, (inside and out) I often wonder of their connection.
Scamp, Boler, Casita come to mind as pretty much the same rigs, just trimmed a bit different.
Any one know which came first and if they are connected in history?

Boy that will take some studying to digest all of that. Great info for sure.. One I didn't see mentioned anywhere was the "Century" I worked for them in the mid 80's and they had just quit making a fiberglass egg. They still had a couple around, the guys would use on weekends..
No idea where they got to.

Of the "egg" shaped similar 13's the Boler was likely first, Scamp started in 1971.
There was an explosion of brands in the early seventies, most of which were a flash in the pan.
ECO,LoveBug,Play-Mor,Paris-Pacer, Boler-American, Bigfoot, Trail-mite, and Casita are some of the Name brands, most of which have not endured and are long out of production.
Scamp was called Acorn for about a year while settling a dispute over the name. It would be hard to place them in exact order of appearance so let's just say they were mostly "Circa-contemporaries"

The only thing I know about the Century is Matt asked about it for his documentary. I don't know if anyone ever was able to give him any information: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ary-37971.html

Do you still have any pictures or other information that we could see? Maybe it could be added to the archives.

Sorry I don't have anything other than the memory of them setting in the parking lot.

Pretty sure they were blue, at least the ones they had were, and that even though they weren't that old just then, the doors sagged pretty bad as if the floor was bad.

On occasion I do see a couple of the guys who worked there before I did .
I'll try and ask them about them the next time I see them.

Knowing the owners I'd bet the molds were made right off of a scamp.
