Are Oregon Campgrounds still up to par??

My wife and I lived in the Grants Pass area and camped throughout Oregon. On a return trip approx five years ago it was disappointing to find some of our favorite State and County sites less maintained than when we had lived there. All sites we visited voiced budget cuts and less funding. We used to feel like we were the first to use the sites and showers from the well maintained areas. We were sad when we visited Josephine County county parks and found they were even letting the grass die. How is it now?? Some input before our trip in Oct would be helpful.

Randy

Parks

Randy, Josephine Co. still has money problems and I think that the
parks dept. has cut back. I used to work on the county equipment
( early retirement two years ago ) and they were talking about more cut backs than. If you want to know about a certain park I will
E-mail my friend who still works at the Co. and get you some info.
The state parks are all in great shape, money from the lottery.
If I can be of any more help fell free to ask. Jay Herb

PS sunny and hot 98 today :sunny

Harris Beach State Park, Mt Mazama Park

Randy - I spent a week in Southern and Central Orgeon in July and can report that Harris Beach State Park and Crater Lakes Mt Mazama Parks were excellent! It got sort of warm out by Burns...

We just got back a few hours ago from a two week venture through central WA and OR. Came back up the coast of OR.

Its been 10 years since our last similar trip.

Our favorites were Route 138 east of Roseburg to Diamond and Crater Lake (Hi Nancy!), and Cape Blanco on the south coast. OR parks are still alot nicer than WA. (And we still like WA parks just fine!)
