I agree with Brian, a search of the web did not turn up any source that mentioned using aspirin for this purpose. Just take your daily aspirin by mouth and deposit the metobolites in the toilet in the usual fashion and let it work that way. I expect the results will be the same, but you'll be better off.

Better to swallow the aspirin. I've never seen a problem with toilet paper in any reasonable quantity with big or small holding tanks.

Take aspirin with a can of Coke and it will dissolve TP even faster.

The web is a soda fountain of knowledge.

What a fascinating fount of knowledge here. I just learned that there is special TP for RV's. That was news to me - I just grab some rolls from the bathroom and put them in the camper. Hubby has never complained about dumping out the Porta Potti - so as far as I'm concerned there isn't a problem!

When we get to the nitty gritty, it usually comes down to "advertising."

We buy just about anything if it's advertised correctly.

Simple enough test. Fill two clean glasses with water. Drop one sheet of toilet paper (unused please) in each glass of water. Drop one aspirin in ONE of the glasses of water and see what happens.

I know soda pop will put out an engine fire. It worked for me last summer when my generator caught fire. I am not sure if it would put out a fire in a holding tank though.
