Anybody else spotted these guys?
http://www.asvtrailer.com/
Sure looks/sounds like a molded glass trailer. Not for the light-of-wallet set though.
On the other hand - it looks cool as all heck and comes in some fairly radical variations (including two toy-haulers) all based on the same basic exterior egg.

Hard to tell... techy, cool website, but not enough info.. Did you find a pricelist? (not for light of walllet comment...)... Looks like straight side fiberglass panel with a molded nose, but again... hard to tell from the info offered. Very cool looking. Maybe I'm slow, but I couldn't find specs on weight, tanks, etc... all dual-axle tends to say heavy...
Interesting. Thanks for posting

This popped up over on the Casita Club forum a week ago. If I had a spare $30,000 laying around it would be spent on a BigFoot. I don't have a need for a toy hauler....
New casita? Don't think so!, 2009 CASITA ASV AEREON

I thought they mentioned the $30k on the site - but I saw them initially from an eBay auction.
I suspect the duel-axle = weight angle is mostly a result of the ToyHauler aspect of these things. Chances are they were designed around that capability. As soon as you start talking about rolling 1000 lbs into the back of it the duels start looking useful real fast. It's not much different than my little HiPoint trailer. The floor, axle and tires are VERY beefy compared to any egg - but that's so you could roll bikes into the back.
It looked like molded glass to me - but molded in several sections and assembled more like a puzzle. The rear of the trailer is sculpted, much like the front - it just doesn't show it much - the whole center section drops into a ramp after all. There aren't enough photos to really tell, but the few close ups showing the sides make them look bowed outward - not flat panel.

that is by far the most annoying website I have ever visited.
everything in moderation has not sunk in for them.
From the 30 seconds I did manage to get to see the thing, it looks a lot like The Egg from our albums.

Here is a less annoying view of it.
Cherry wood and the like make it an "Upscale" unit...
I like my "camper", thanks.. I can walk around in it in stinky socks and not worry.
It IS a pretty rig, however.
It also is not molded.

Gina- Thanks for the less annoying version!
I dig the neat sink/stovetop combo. It has sealed burners too. Does anybody know who manufactures this getup?

Looks interesting, both made in Grandview MI - Some competition for Egg Camper in Gradview
If they are 30K - Too expensive for my wallet

The stove/sink combo in the ASV looks like a SMEV, an Italian manufacturer of RV/marine items.... We have a stainless, sealed two burner SMEV in our Oliver (not the sink/stove combo) and I absolutely love it! Heats up really fast, fuel efficient, piezo ignition, removeable grates, safety gas shut off if flame goes out, glass cover at countertop level... super easy cleanup.
Ours is standard on the Oliver Legacy, but I saw a distributor on EBay: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/SMEV-USA I believe the pound is about $2 US these days.

That's not a sink, that's a spitoon. Gad, I couldn't get my coffee cup in that sink to wash it.

Now, now, Donna D. Just wash your dishes outside in a bucket, while enjoying the great out-of-doors... who cares if the sink is big enough?
I think it looks cool!

Donna, forget the coffee cup, I'm not sure you could fit a saucer in it! Love the look of the ASV, especially the cabinets & countertops but gee, for $30K you'd think they could do better than that tiny little sink! I'll keep my Scamp with the 8" deep bar sink I bought on Ebay, thank you very much!

why put a sink it that can't be used...? -duh-
i like the aero design, but if that much thought was put into making it aero, why mount the A/C on the roof like that...?

Clicking (BOOM! Swish!) through their (beep bidle bidle) website I can't see (grrlink!) using one, but I'm not their target audience. I don't want a toy hauler, and (BOOM! Swish! beep bidle bidle grrlink!) I kinda outgrew the toys-with-buttons-that-do-things phase by the time I was seven or so.
This from a man pushing a bunch of buttons that make little letters appear on a screen. Quietly.

There is also a very similiar one called "Galileo". <strike>I don't have the link</strike> but if you just google Galileo travel trailers you will get it, also not for the faint of heart or light of wallet ( I qualify as both ) !! Lee
