I have an older version of this powered by 2 of the 6 volt Lantern batteries, and it also has a 12 volt DC power cord.
I installed an external 12 volt receptacle that I bought at West Marine.

I've heard of ceramic tiles in bigger, heavier units. I'll be interested to see how well they stand up to a lighter trailer like the Parkliner's bouncing around!

Glass!

Sounds cool...what colors ya gonna use?

Speaking of motifs, I adopted the "cheesy chicken-related theme" for my Trillium. This based on
1) The fact that I have no taste at all.
and
2) It seemed to go with the general brownness of the cupboard doors.
and
3)When I went looking for curtains, some with chickens on them were on sale for (I kid you not) $2.00 a pair at Walmart.

I've since added matching potholders and dish towels from the Dollar store...all dolled up for about twenty bucks!

well i decided to keep it in the gold/beige range its the 12" by 12" tiles with a million little ones in it there are random black tiles in the mix....i tried to take a photo but didn't come out well....will work with the light colour wood and look good with whatever colour curtains i make for it. if i like it might make a new side dinette table and tile it too!

Sounds glamperous!

And opposite my approach, which is definitely more "ham" than "glam".

But I think the same thing motivates all of us when dinkin' around with these trailers- it's the "playhouse" we never had when we were kids, and by jingo, it's going to be just the way we always dreamed one to be!

My trailer was invited to appear on that show but wasn't deemed classy enough. Or was it me that wasn't classy enough? I forget...

But next week there's a casting call for "Trash: We Have Lives Too!", and I have high hopes for that one.

...

Heh...nah I just want a certain kinda style when I go camping that people walk by and say "Nice". I had exquisite canvas tents...now I have my ParkLiner as my traveling home. All it takes is time and money lol

Ah yes Deryk - money, money and time!

Could be we need a real life definition of these little units. How about................ "A Fibreglass Camper is a mere hole in the air which, when surrounded by fibreglass, becomes something into which one feels privileged to pour time and money."

sounds kinda like the definition of a boat... a hole in the water that you pour money into (and time)

Hi Deryk,
How about the Olde Brooklyn Lantern, as seen on TV? (https://www.oldebrooklynlantern.com/) The website video is a bit cheesy but the lantern is pretty nice for the money ($14). I bought one last Christmas at our CVS drugstore. It's made of lightweight aluminum and runs LED lights that can range from soft to bright. I think it'll be just the ticket to add a rustic touch to our camping experience without the danger of kerosene.

Having backpacked for many years we used a small candle lantern
(Candle Lanterns: - Backpacking at REI - FREE SHIPPING With $50 minimum purchase.) similar to the ones others have been posting for far fewer dollars. This lantern continues to be our favorite at the picnic table as it puts out a soft romantic glow with enough light to work or play. None of those huge, harsh light camp lights for us.

Your glamping "playhouse" is really taking shape!

Happy Glamping!
Gilda

Hello

The only thing about them I don't like is batteries lol... something extra to carry around. Now my dad gave me a tealight candle that is shaped like those but smaller... maybe a few of them would work... will keep looking lol

thanks
