Best rig in the park

Oh dear! The campground double booked our site, we got here first, & our wonderful little Scamp is in the middle of a sea of hostile Airstream owners. Apparently we are "really messing up the lineup". Must go buy some tacky lawn ornaments & smiley face lights for the awning.

Go buy a can of Kentucky chrome and spray your egg. They'll never know you're there.

Then go out with your lawn chair, a drink with an umbrella, your sunglasses on and sit out and enjoy the scenery.

Maybe a big obnoxious floppy hat on with some gawdy clothes as well.

Am I getting the impression that the Airstreamer's don't like us?

Greg,

Our's cost half the price of their smallest, weigh less and most of us probably have more amenities.

If they were another metal, say copper, they'd be green with envy.

Then you really ruined it with a 5th wheel.

We're having fun being a lonely little petunia in an onion patch. The Airstreamers turned out to be a friendly bunch, once they got over their initial shock. I invited them all to a Fiberglass RV rally, so far there are no takers. One guy told me that fiberglass is only for boats. Another amusing camping memory to add to the collection.

Being a long time Ford guy,I have often referred to our Scamp 13 dlxe as the Corvette of travel trailers...
It's fiberglass, it's beautiful, and I have to tow it everywhere it goes!

[I know... the new Vettes aren't fiberglass and they are pretty nicely engineered]

Not sure if this photo will come through - don't have all the right cables & other gizmos with us. Will post more photos when we get home in a few days. Loved all the comments. Point to ponder: if an Airstream wandered into a molded fiberglass rally I bet it would be cordially welcomed (at least to the owner's face).

We have a nice gal who owns an Airstream Bambi that comes to the NOGs. She's more than welcome. Maybe we'll convince her to upscale to fiberglass one of these days.

We look at the inside of hers, she comes and looks at the inside of ours. Good trade off. Once everyone is standing beside the fire, how can you tell who owns what... and what does it matter in the grand scheme of things? Love the one you're with!

Airstream + Fiberglass

Here is a picture of Jeff Z's Airstream at the Escape Rally last June. Jeff is the force behind the Escape Forum Escape Travel Trailer Forum - Index and a former Escape owner. We all got along very well!

Back home, so here are a couple of photos amid the Airstreams, & 1 confirming our love of white fiberglass in any form. Loved all the comments.
