If anyone goes there, never order a whole fish sandwich, virtually impossible to eat.

Happy anniversary!
We love fish and chips, that was our first meal when we got stationed in England.
Guess this means your back up North?

John,

Our first trip to the Ireland we had fish and chips as our first meal. To me Fish and Chips are like Pizza, they can all be different but still taste good. The fries at Bets were better than Ireland, fresh cut, a combination of strings and rounds witht he skin on, reminded me of the excellent Newfie fries.

We returned from Newfoundland the first of July. This August I've been preparing to hit the road in October, earlier than last year when we were stopped by a November storm. We're seeing a lot of signs, beyond the Farmer's Almanac, that winter may be severe and want to beat the snow.

Heading South and West this year.

Thanks for all the anniversary congratulations. Only one more year to the magic 50. I once served as the emcee for a 50th anniversary celebration and found out that only 5% of married couples make it to 50 years.

The group at the celebration were mainly older RVers. It was obvious that the rate for RVers is higher than the national average.

Ginny and I are both amazed by 50 years. Definitely our 13 years of road life has been wonderful.

Ron,

Kids!!!!! Last summer we cooked a couple of lunches and dinners for the Escapee park in FL. One day someone stood up and thanked "the kids" for their service. I never thought I'd live to 70, never mind live to 70 and be called a kid. I like it. I still feel like a kid exploring America.

Honda, we feel like kids as well. There is no doubt in my mind that with decent health this life style at our age is the funnest that we have lived through. Since we got Inneggsisle 10 yrs ago we have spent an average of 5.5 months a year in her and over 100,000 miles. Now at age 76 we started our life as full timers in her and in 18 months our 50th will be celebrated we hope doing this same lifestyle. At this point we are into the middle of our 2 month hosting gig at Camden Hills Maine and what a gorgeous area it is, this weekend Camden is celebrating Windjammer Festival and about 14 three masted schooners pulled into the harbor for the festivities. I'll try to post some pics sometime next week.

Before becoming RVers we would often spend long weekends in Northport just north of Camden. The tall ships of Camden are magnificent and well worth a visit.

While considering retirement we searched out northern Maine. It gets even better as you go up the coast. One event worth attending is the mid August blueberry festival in Machias.

So happy the kid can return in all of us. It's never too late for fun. What's up after Camden?

Safe travels

Honda, when we leave here we will attend the Fryeburg Fair then just stick around for a week or so for some of the fall color display then slowly gravitate back to Florida by way of NH (friends), PA, VA, and NC, (all kids). to think about next years itinerary. tough decisions, haa
