Beware of Private Label Cleaners.....

Two days ago, while picking up some other hardware, I saw that Home Depot had a private label "Outside Use Concentrated Bleach Cleaner".

Thinking it might be stronger than household stuff, I bought a gallon for $5. Before opening the seal I looked up the MSDS sheet. Turns out that it is the same stuff as common household bleach, that you can buy for $1 a gallon, except a little weaker on active ingredient's. It went back this morning, with the MSDS sheet attached.

So much for Home Depot private label stuff.....

It was concentrated... compared, apparently, to naturally-occurring sodium hypochorite!

The punch line was that is was less concentrated than common household bleach, 4.5% vs. 5-7%
