Big bed in 16 foot Scamp

Is it possible to get a 16 foot layout 4 Scamp with a big bed and not have the heavy wood of the deluxe?

I dont think so, but there was some recent discussion on a Scamp Facebook group that made me unsure. After all , things change.

No, but the wood ain't heavy, you would love the wood interior. The real weight difference is negligible. Order the deluxe, comparably equipped minus a couple of options.
Another point... Generally speaking, weight affects acceleration, while aerodynamics affects cruising.
Learn to accelerate at a rate commensurate with your load.
Find the cruising speed with the best drag compromise.
If the only difference is a couple hundred pounds of weight with the same drag you will lose nothing except a few seconds from zero to sixty.
