3 years after the restart BIOD stops the production of caravans.
Now in Europe there is one molded fiberglass brand left: the Polish (in the Netherlands called) Predom. And some minivans.
A Dutch TV-channel broadcasted a topic on the closing, featuring a.o. myself.
For those who are interested, the url: http://biod.info/20071013biod.wmv (16 M
Sorry for speaking Dutch

I (of course) love the old film of your earlier Biod!

You and Rita are cute, too!

Plus, now I know how to pronounce your last name! (As well as "biod" ... "bee-odd")

Thanks for sharing that with us, Lex!

We are blushing

It is probably to late for this slogan:
<span style="font-size:14pt;line-height:100%">Be odd, Buy odd, Biod</span>
suggested by a newsgrouper from the UK.

Lex, I obviously don't speak nor understand Dutch... what is their reason for discontinuing production?

BTW, does your wife know you had that gorgeous woman in the trailer with you?

You guys do look great on TV!

Roger

Very interesting to watch. Thanks.

(BTW: My wife’s bank was just bought by one of your county’s bank, RaboBank. She is very impressed.)

I quote Huub van Elswijk, managing director:
"Een mooi product, volop innovaties, een uniek proces, voldoende opdrachten maar helaas onvoldoende personeelsbezetting en teveel tegenslagen werken niet mee."
That means something like:
"A beautiful product, many innovations, a unique process, sufficient orders, but regrettably not enough qualified personnel and to(o?) much adversity."

Most of the Dutch caravanners prefer maximal comfort for minimal price.
BIODs are at least 50% more expensive then traditional stick built trailers

I found this press message. I suppose that's the one.

Thanks for sharing that.

I'm shocked you did not always have silver hair!

Yours is a beautiful family!
