For a small trailer and occasional
boondocking, one would not need as much stuff as that guy has.
I like to boondock and dry camp. The trailer is "self contained," as the saying goes, so it's fun to use it without hookups. However, after about 3 days I find that I do need to add fresh water and recharge the batteries. My strategy this year is to carry a few extra gallons in either the back of the Highlander or in the bathtub (where it would reduce tongue
weight in my case), and to use my new 75W
solar panel to keep the
battery topped up.
Boondock sites can be far more quiet and removed from crowds than most campgrounds will ever be. I like to get away from the city, not go to where the city went to get away (and be in another crowd of noisy people).
