We finally got down to the Snoozy plant is SC last Wednesday and bought the trailer.
I have to echo what others here have said - Alan Smoak is a good guy to work with. He seemed very knowledgable, has a long history of
fiberglass manufacturing and answered all our questions in a straight forward manner without any of the sales BS you often encounter. He was very open to changes I wanted.
We ended up buying a trailer he had in stock and he was willing to remove a few items, like the couch, that I will not use. I decided it will be just as easy for me to revise the floor plan myself and I can better figure out exactly what I want sitting in the actual trailer instead of just working with computer images.
He is putting in another large window and a Fantastic fan in the rear wall. I can't get back down south for 4 - 6 weeks so he offered to store it until then. I sure wish we would have taken the RAV4 instead of the Prius on the trip - the trailer would be in my driveway right now.
Here's picture of what we decided our final (for now
) floor plan will be:
I've already got a Honda EU2000i
generator so we decided to try going all electric.
Thanks to all here for the many good suggestions. I would have never even known about
Lil Snoozy trailers without this forum.
I'll post some pictures of my modifications in early summer after I've had a chance to work on the trailer.
